Description
1. Consumer Complaint Investigation. Areas include food, medical devices, drug safety, cosmetics, radiation emitting devices, labeling and packaging violations and product recalls, (does not include red meat or poultry). 2.Inspection of manufacturing plants, copies of reports available to the public (must submit freedom of information request). 3. Licenses blood banks and plasmapheresis centers. 4. Consumer education, information on nutrition, food additives, food poisoning, effects of drugs, cosmetics, medical devices (pregnancy test kits, weight control gadgets, etc.) Spanish language and large print publications available.
