Description
Provides services to children and adults in Northeast Ohio who are experiencing visual difficulty that cannot be corrected by medical treatment, surgery, or conventional glasses. Works with children and adults by providing low vision assessments and the opportunity to try vision aids and adaptive equipment such as special reading or telescopic glasses, handheld magnifiers, large print or "talking" devices, special lighting, and/or closed-circuit television systems. The Northern Ohio Bioptic Driving Program is an evaluation, training and testing program that may permit some individuals with a visual impairment to drive. NOTE: The clinic is not a funding source for conventional glasses.
