Need verifications of: * Proof of GROSS income for the previous 30 day period for entire household. If paid weekly bring the last five pay stubs you've received, Bi-weekly bring the last three pay stubs you've received. (Bank statements aren't allowed for wages because they only give net income.) Examples of countable income are: wages, alimony, unemployment benefits, utility allowance, SSI, SSDI, Social Security, interest for savings, pensions, TANF, worker's comp, veteran's benefits, railroad pension, and strike benefits. If a head of household states they have zero income, An Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax transcript is required in addition to proof of how you are supporting the household. Households reporting zero income who were not required to file taxes will need to request a copy of a Verification of Non-Filing of Returns from the IRS as proof that a return was not filed.
