Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program | Ohio County Public Library

Serves residents of Northern Panhandle of West Virginia and surrounding counties in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Income must be at or under 68,000 for the 2025 tax year.

- Photo ID. - Social Security cards for all persons to be included on tax return. - Current year's tax forms and any booklets received in the mail - W2s from all employers, and unemployment compensation documents, if applicable. - Cost basis for any stocks or bonds sold, and all forms and documents showing interest received, and 1099-R (such as pensions received or annuity payments SSA-1099 if you were paid Social Security benefits). - All forms indicating federal income tax paid, including estimated payment records. - Dependent-care provider information, including name, employer ID and Social Security numbers, if applicable. - Married and filing separately taxpayers must provide the other spouse's Social Security number - Those paying or receiving alimony must provide the ex-spouse's Social Security number. - Any other information related to income or taxes.

Monday January 26 through Wednesday April 8th, 2026: Monday - Thursday: 10:00am - 5:00pm. Wednesday: 10:00am - 4:00pm, and 5:00pm - 8:00pm. Friday: 10:30am - 4:00pm Saturday: 9:30am - 2:00pm.
