Application process
Call Hotline M-F: 8:00am-4:00pm. Staff will suggest convenient and appropriate (e.g. for disabled access) sites, and will send client information about Head Start as well as medical and dental forms. The parent then calls the site to find out slot availability, and makes an appointment with a Family Service Worker at the site. Applications are accepted at any time of year if there is a slot available.

Administers area Head Start program, and directly operates some sites. The program works to develop social competence and school readiness in children ages 3-5, and to empower their parents/caregivers to assist them. Provides a comprehensive array of services including nutrition and special education. Refers applicants to the most convenient and appropriate sites.
