Eligibility

No restrictions on previous residence. Serves single women and women with children younger than age 18. Applicants must agree to maintain sobriety while living in this residence. Serves those with household income at or below 35% of the federal poverty level.

Required documents

Photo ID Social Security card for everyone in family birth certificates for minor children referral letter from emergency shelter or someone who knows the individual or a self-declaration proof of employment (if applicable). Agency will work with participants to get documentation if they do not have it.

Description

Provides six bedrooms for single women and women with children in transition from homelessness to permanent housing. Program includes chores, group living, and employment activities. Families participate in case management to assist them in addressing the root causes of their current homelessness, including Mental Health treatment, Substance use treatment, finding employment (if needed) and permanent housing. Subsidies for permanent housing and referrals to public housing may be available.
