Eligibility

*Serves Geauga County households with Income must be 175% of the Federal poverty level or less. *Must have at least one child under the age of 18 (or through age 18 if the child is still in high school) or be pregnant (from conception to delivery). *Applicants must explore other community resources that may meet the current need. *Applicant must be employed or pending employment within one week of PRC approval. *At least one member of the family must be a U.S. citizen or qualified alien. *DOES NOT SERVE fugitive felons, and those who have been convicted of program fraud where repayment has not yet occurred. SANCTIONED PERSONS CAN STILL QUALIFY if applying for PRC within 30 days of the end of the sanction period.

Required documents

Completed application form, proof of address, proof of financial need (all income which has been received by any member of the household during the previous 30 days will be considered gross income, both earned and unearned, will be counted.), proof of ALL liquid assets. If pregnant, need a medical statement verifying pregnancy. In addition, if the cost of the documented need exceeds the amount of PRC that is to be issued, the applicant must provide verification that they have paid the amount in excess of the PRC payment, prior to receiving payment.

Description

Provides vouchers to assist with short-term job related transportation needs to help the client retain or gain employment: Bus Passes ($100 maximum per calendar year); Auto Insurance Payments ($250 maximum per calendar year); Gasoline ($30 per request/$150 maximum per calendar year); Auto Repair ($1000 maximum per 12-month period). May consider assisting with other various needs related to transportation at the agency's discretion.
