Eligibility

Serves adults age 18 and older who are facing a criminal case in the Shaker Heights Municipal Court and who are found to be indigent in accordance with law. Shaker Heights Municipal Court jurisdiction includes: Shaker Heights, University Heights, Beachwood, Hunting Valley, and Pepper Pike.

Application process

Service may be requested on first court date (arraignment) or at court dates afterward. If client requests service, forms will be given to the client to fill out. May walk in to request service or phone for information.

Fees

Fixed application fee (does not have to be paid up front and may be waived). May have to pay court costs. Alternate payment plans may be arranged if necessary.
