Eligibility

Serves residents of the school district which includes most of Cleveland, parts of Brook Park and Garfield Heights, and all of Bratenahl, Linndale and Newburgh Heights. All students must have current immunizations and current physical exams prior to the start of school. All children attending are entitled to receive breakfast and lunch; those participating in after-school activities also get an afternoon snack. Work permits are issued to enrolled students for those aged 14-17.

Required documents

For work permits, need proof of age: accepts driver's license, temporary driver permit, state ID, or birth certificate. Will also need physician proof of a recent (within the past 12 months) physical. For school lunches, parents may have to provide proof of income at some point while their children are students of the district, but this doesn't happen every year or to everyone. Employer's Pledge form with valid Tax ID number.

Hours

Main office hours are M-F: 8:00am-5:00pm. Work permit office hours are M-F:8:30am-3:00pm

Application process

Call for questions about school lunches. Youth fill out applications for school lunches at least once while they are students of the district. Those wanting work permits may call for information, visit the district's web site, or request an application from their school. Once application is completed, students requesting the work permit must present the completed packet in person at the district's work permit office.
