Eligibility

Lake County resident. Income at or below 80% of area median income. City of Mentor residents are not eligible. Cannot have previously used program (once in a lifetime).

Required documents

Must document income (or Social Security, Section 8, child support). Other documents requested as needed.

Hours

Monday - Thursday: 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Application process

-Call for appointment. May have to leave a message; due to call volume, may have to wait 5-7 days for a return call. -Please do not call several times - it slows down the process. -Can't have moved in already. -Must have a 12-month lease. -Landlord and tenant must participate in a conditions/safety assessment. **This is not an emergency program; could take 4-6 weeks for processing and payment.
