Eligibility

Accepts licensed medical and non-medical professionals including licensed medical professionals, non-licensed volunteers with medical backgrounds, mental health professionals, clergy, public health professionals, emergency medical technicians, health educators and volunteers, and other specialists. Includes those who are practicing, retired or non-practicing. Must complete four (4) hours of approved training provided by the MRC unit.

Description

Recruits and coordinates teams of local volunteer medical and public health professionals who can contribute their skills and expertise throughout the year as well as during times of community need. Activities may include treatment of victims of a mass disaster or epidemic, staffing of an emergency vaccination clinic, assisting with flu clinics, or providing educational sessions for the public.
