Description

Administers justice to all whose lives are impacted by the juvenile justice system in Summit County. Serves Summit County youth through outreach, early intervention, community education and innovative programming. Hears cases involving Juvenile Traffic; Dependency/Neglect/Abuse; Legal Custody; and Delinquency and Status offenses. Focuses on rehabilitating offenders and working with families to keep youth from re-offending. Offers options for young offenders including Counseling, Diversion, Fines, Community Services, Mediation, Restitution, Detention, Home Detention, Electronic Monitoring, Probation, Day Treatment, Residential Placement, Commitment to state institution, and Bind-over to adult court.
