A prospective client, neighbor or family member can fill out an application for someone in need. Applications available on line, in person at Marion County Sheriff's Office or contact Deputy Allen at 740-382-8244 ext 5121.

Description

The Safeguard our Seniors or S.O.S program is part of the "Good Neighbor" concept of community policing and designed to ensure the safety and basic needs for those who are elderly, shut-in, disabled , or with special needs. Once part of the program a deputy will stop by at clients residence for a visit and check in on them. Visits are intended to help the senior stay connected, feel less lonely, ward off depression, social isolation and stress. A safety evaluation of the clients home will be completed by a sheriff's deputy.
