Eligibility

Camp Cornerstone: Grieving children ages 6 through 12 years of age. Camp Lighthouse: Grieving children and teens ages 8 through 17 years of age.

Required documents

Medical release forms, immunization records parents or guardians will sign health waivers.

Hours

Camps take place during the summer months. Camp Cornerstone: Monday July 14-Friday July 18, 2025, from 8:00am-4:00pm at Cornerstone of Hope, Independence. Camp Lighthouse: Friday August 1–Sunday August 3, 2025 at Hiram House Camp, Moreland Hills.

Fees

Both camps have a fixed, $50 registration fee.

Description

Provides a one-week day camp (Camp Cornerstone) and a weekend residential camp (Camp Lighthouse) for children who have experienced the death of a loved one. Children share their grief experiences in fun and creative ways. Children are divided into groups by age for most activities. Camp participants will enjoy arts and crafts, swimming, treasure hunts, time to talk and share, outdoor games, and memorial activities.
