Description
Provides information and makes referrals to local support agencies to families of developmentally disabled persons and professionals who serve them. The Arc also serves as an advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Staff understand the laws and regulations that protect the rights of families of school-aged children and the adult population. Advocates meet with clients, accompany families to important meetings, and advocate on their behalf.
