Eligibility

Targets hispanic youth in grades 6th through 12th (generally, age 13 through 19) residing in Cuyahoga County.

Takes place as arranged between Mentee and Mentor (two to three hours per month for 12 months).

Description

Provides gender specific, one-on-one mentoring for inner-city Hispanic youth. Program is designed to provide a nurturing, supportive environment designed to encourage youth to complete school and develop leadership skills. When creating matches, career and personal interests are considered, as well as information collected during student and volunteer interviews. Interactions may include texting, social media, dinner, arts & cultural events, college visits, etc.
