Eligibility

To donate blood for general purposes or for a specific person (following are general guidelines and not a complete list): - Must be age 17 or over. - Must weigh at least 110 pounds. - Must be in good health (feel well, no infections, no anemia, and not receiving treatment for any chronic conditions). - Must be at least eight (8) weeks since last donation. - To donate for self-use (autologous donations): age and other eligibility requirements will vary with individual case. - Complete guidelines are available via website.

Description

Collects, processes, tests, and distributes blood and blood products. Offers Bloodmobiles throughout the county to take blood from unpaid, volunteer blood donors. Provides blood and blood derivatives to local hospitals. Collects autologous blood for persons scheduled for elective surgery.
