Eligibility

Residents of Adams and Brown Counties at or below 175% federal poverty guidelines who have utility service from an electric or natural gas company regulated by the Public Utility Commission of Ohio.

Application Required. Can apply by calling and creating an appointment, apply online, or mail in application.

Fees

Customers enrolled in this program must pay a percentage of household income each month. Customers who heat their homes with electric are required to Pay 10% of their gross monthly household income or $10.00, whichever is greater. Customers who heat their homes with gas are required to pay 6% of their gross monthly household income each month or $10.00, whichever is greater.

Description

Provides PIPP Enrollment and Recertification program, a year round payment plan that offers households' affordable monthly percentage payments that help maintain services. Each time a household makes their PIPP Plus payment on time and in full, the household will receive a credit towards old utility debt and prevent new utility debt from occurring.
