Ages 11-18. There are no restrictions on who may make a referral to the program.

Fixed fee. Accepts Medicaid. An additional funding source is needed to cover board and care (such as the courts, County children's services, other county funding and in some cases, OhioRise).

Description

Provides a program of intensive, many-faceted, therapeutic service for youth with severe emotional and behavioral difficulties. Program specializes in treatment for children who have post-traumatic stress and reactive attachment disorders, and adolescents who may have issues with the juvenile justice system as well as chronic mood, thought, behavior, and or substance abuse disorders. There are two separate units, one for females and one for males. Alcohol and drug treatment is available for residents with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. Participants attend school on site while in the program.

Offers a multi-disciplinary staff, including licensed counselors, social workers, teachers, nurses, psychologists and psychiatrists. Services include outpatient counseling, psychiatry, residential services, adoption, foster care, in-home and school-based services, internship programs and research partnerships. Provides the site for a residential treatment program for youth with both substance abuse and mental health issues. Operates five sites in Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties.
