Eligibility

- Student must have 10 high school credit hours, be on track to graduate in 2 years, be 16 years old by the first day of school, and have had a 90% attendance average during the 9th and 10th grade school years. - Some career/technical programs may have additional requirements. - If a review of the application shows a deficiency in admission prerequisites, the student may be conditionally accepted to attend Buckeye Career Center; however, a plan of action contract will be developed.

Description

Provides high-school students with preparation for semi-skilled, skilled, technical or professional occupations. - Buckeye is associated with Carrollton Exempted Village Schools, Claymont City Schools, Conotton Valley Union Schools, Dover City Schools, East Holmes Local Schools, Garaway Local Schools, Indian Valley Local Schools, New Philadelphia City Schools, Newcomerstown Exempted Village Schools, Strasburg-Franklin Local Schools, Tuscarawas Central Catholic, and Tuscarawas Valley Local Schools. - Buckeye Career Center offers one and two-year career-technical certificates certifying that the individual has obtained the skills needed to begin serving in a particular career field. - Buckeye operates satellite programs at Hiland, Berlin, Tuscarawas Valley, Indian Valley, Claymont, Newscomerstown, and Carrollton.
