Eligibility

- Veteran must have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, have been on active duty for reasons other than training, or have received a VA recognized service-connection disability AND were discharged under HONORABLE conditions. - Qualified Veterans and family members must be residents of the State of Ohio and residing in Harrison County for three (3) months immediately prior to application for financial assistance. - To be eligible for financial assistance, a definite need must be demonstrated. The wording of the law states that assistance is intended for the 'indigent," meaning Veterans suffering a level of poverty in which real hardship and deprivation are suffered and comforts of life are lacking.

- DD-214. - Proof of residency. - Proof of all household income. - Original of all current monthly bills. - Marriage, divorce and/or death certificates. - Birth certificates for all dependent children. - Social Security cards. - Current Photo ID.
