Eligibility

The agency's services are for Post-9/11 veterans and current service members suffering from post-traumatic stress as a result of their military service. However, information and referral is provided to all veterans, their firnds, and familiy regardless of time served.

Fees

All services are free, including the retreats, for eligible post-9/11 veterans. However, retreats require that one provide for ones own minor expenses while on retreat.

Description

Provides mental health support services to wounded veterans via group activities, online mental health screening/support and one to one peer mentoring. Group activities include Project Odyssey which is a 5-day outdoor retreat for wounded veterans and military couples aimed at helping them cope with combat stress by learning stress management techniques and cultivating helpful attitudes about their mental affliction. Restore Veterans offers veterans online mental health screening and support tools such as self-help guides and online videos of other veterans sharing their personal experiences. One to one peer support is also available and all peer mentors are alumni of the Wounded Warrior program and are certified by Wounded Warrior to perform their duties.
