Eligibility

Deafness or Hard-of-Hearing individual, or family member, vendor or advocate for a person (s) with deafness/hearing loss. Also those interested in learning sign language/communication skills.

Walk In Services, every Wed. 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Darke County American Red Cross: 130 Martz St. Suite 6, Greenville, OH 45331: 2nd Tue. 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm.

Languages

Provides interpreters services, communicate and sign in the following language styles: American Sign Language, Signed Exact English, Manually Coded English, Pidgen Signed English, Cued Speech and Oral Transliteration, Tactile, Deaf/Blind and C-Print Captioning.

Fees

Interpreting Services are based on 1/2 hour increments, with rates based on required services, and date, time and location of services. Services are available 24 hours a day. Other services utilize insurance payment and Sliding Fee Scale.

Description

Also offers Camps for deaf kids and teens, KODA (kids of deaf adults) camps, DeafEND (drug and alcohol prevention) In-service trainings, C-Print Captioning, consultation and instruction for families needing to learn sign language/communication skills. Other services available upon request.
