Description

Provides parole supervision for youth who have been released from department facility. Services include enforcing rules of parole, involvement of youth in activities that create an awareness of the consequences of their behavior, developing competency in youth that enable them to be more capable of productive participation in society, and monitoring graduated sanctions if parole is violated.

Ohio Department Of Youth Services

Provides juvenile corrections for the state of Ohio. Statutorily mandated to confine felony offenders, ages 10-21, who have been adjudicated and committed by one of the state's 88 county juvenile courts. Incarcerated youth engage in programming designed to address their criminological and behavioral needs. Each facility operates a year-round school that offers general curriculum and vocational opportunities.
