Eligibility

- Serves residents of Medina and Wayne counties. - A denial from Job and Family Services is needed for all households employed with minor children. - Household that have received previous assistance are eligible if assistance was in 2021 or before.

Required documents

- Proof of current insurance. - Vehicle registration. - Proof of insurance. - Title or payment book. - Valid driver's license. - 30 days proof of income for all household members. - 2 vendor estimates for ASE (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence) certified shops. - A denial from Job and Family Services is needed for all households employed with minor children. - Proof of co-payment for repair costs that exceed the maximum benefit amount, if applicable.

Description

Offers automobile repair expense assistance (up to $1,000) for qualified individuals who need the repairs to be done so that they may get to work, school, or be able to job search more easily.

Offers HEAP, rent, mortgage, and utility assistance, transportation passes, car repair assistance, car safety seats for children, child care subsidy, Home Weatherization Program and Certified Application Counselors. Serves as grantee/delegate agency for Head Start and Early Head Start.
