*Fairfield County Resident *Income Based: $67,000 or less *OR* *Older adults aged 60 or older

Required documents

*Valid photo ID *Social Security card(s) or Social Security Benefit Statement for self, spouse and ALL dependents. *Verification of bank routing & account number for direct deposit (via check or other document) *All Income and related tax documents needed to prepare the return: · W-2, 1099-R, 1099-NEC, 1099Misc, W-2G, etc · Interest & dividend statements: 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-B · Self-employment- income, expenses & deductions · Daycare expenses – daycare statement including provider’s tax identifying number (EIN or SSN) · Education or student loan expenses: 1098-E, 1098-T and qualifying expenses · Expenses if they itemize: Medical, Mortgage interest, Real Estate taxes, gambling losses & Charitable donations. · Marketplace Health Insurance (1095-A)

Offers free federal and state in-person tax preparation assistance for older adults and low- to moderate-income individuals and families in Fairfield County. Can be completed in-person or through drop off. *Cannot prepare complex returns with Rental income, Small business Schedule C with business losses, expenses over $35,000, depreciation, or employees, Complicated Schedule D (capital gains and losses), Inherited property, Schedule K-1s (can only do investment income only), or Farm income.
