Eligibility

Adults 18 and older who have a driver's license or driver's learning permit who have been referred by a physician (generally those with disabilities and the elderly). Must be seizure free for twelve months or deemed by a physician to have seizures under medical control. Wheelchair clients must be able to get into the car by themselves.

Physician's prescription requesting an Occupational Therapy Driving Evaluation and Rehabilitation.

Description

Offers a driving evaluation for those persons whose driving ability may be affected by a disability or other condition such as dementia. Provides a clinical evaluation testing vision, reaction time and coordination as well as a road test. The road test is performed in a vehicle that can be adapted for different disabilities and conditions.
