Eligibility

To be eligible for the PIPP Plus program a customer must: - Receive his or her primary or secondary heat source from a company regulated by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) - Have a total household income which is at or below 175 percent of the federal poverty level Apply for all energy assistance programs for which he or she is eligible.

Required documents

ALL Applicants MUST bring: - Proof of citizenship such as birth certificate or voters registration card - Proof of gross income for the past three months for ALL household members - A copy of the electric bill and gas bill (balance due is required on the electric bill) - Social Security cards for everyone in the household - A document that clearly shows age- birth certificate, driver's license or state id If under 60 years of age - Documentation from a physician stating that someone in the household has an illness that would benefit from continued electric service - Proof of Disability if you are disabled. Call 740-342-4113 for appointment. PIPP Plus applications may be mailed to the Ohio Department of Development (HEAP Application), however, it is strongly recommended that applications be processed at the local community action agency for immediate results.
