Training promotes healthy alternatives to risky behavior through activities that: teach students the necessary skills to resist peer pressure to smoke, drink and use drugs; help students develop greater self-esteem and self-confidence; enable students to effectively cope with anxiety; increase knowledge of immediate consequences; enhance cognitive and behavioral competency to reduce and prevent a variety of health risk behaviors.

PACE is New Directions Parent and Child Education program that addresses youth facing multiple risk factors, providing space for youth and parents to learn and grow together.
