Offers a Career & Academic Readiness Education program at Mid-East Career and Technology Centers offers free classes, workshops and programs to help students prepare for the workforce. For some, obtaining a job includes completing high school, improving basic skills, and/or entering college or adult certification programs. All students go through a process to identify their strengths and interests and the careers that line up with those strengths and interests, while taking into consideration what in-demand occupations are available locally. Our classes, with support from Aspire funding, help students meet their individual personal and professional goals.

Provides student-centered learning opportunities for adults including GED preparation, basic computer skills, Citizenship test preparation, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes.

Provides career-focused classes and training programs, but also prepares students for college and other post-secondary options. Also offers opportunities for students to gain work experience and career-focused programs for disabled students. Students may earn college credit in most programs.

Provides vocational assessment and vocational education as well as a wide range of job related classes for youth. Courses onsite include Marketing, Media Arts, Cosmetology, Auto Technology, Construction, Criminology, Teachers Academy. In addition, numerous other programs such as Health Science, Firefighting/EMT, Pharmacy Tech, etc.are offered through a partnership in the Heights CTE Consortium.

Provides a system where eligible individuals may audit credit or non-credit classes on a space-available basis.

Provides educational services for children with developmental disabilities. Services include direct contracted services such as speech therapists and more indirect services such as support, information and professional development.

Provides in-person and virtual evidence-based continuing education training and workshops for professionals. Topics may include: - Effective Communication. - Mental Health - Substance Use. - Emotional Regulation. - Self-care. - Stress Management. - Trauma-informed Environments. - Mindfulness / Meditation. - Identity-affirming Environments. - Supervision and Ethics.

Provides forums, speakers, materials, and reports organization's research results on issues related to fair housing (discrimination, predatory lending, information on fair housing laws, and disabilities in housing). Workshops may count towards continuing legal education.

Offers GED instruction and preparation classes for individuals needing to obtain their GED.

Offers training sessions and workshops on a variety of educational topics for parents of children with disabilities and the professionals who work with them. Promotes parent-professional collaboration and ongoing partnership to support educational and service planning. Offers training sessions to support parents with the daily challenges of caring for a child with a disability.

Provides a Career Center for high school students.

Provides English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and job skills training to help refugees and immigrants integrate into their new country and become self-sufficient. Clients receive daily English and job readiness classes that teach vocabulary, literacy and conversational English skills as well as computer literacy and job preparation. Clients also receive individualized job search and placement assistance.

Provides training programs at the Job Center for youth.

Provides remedial education for students struggling with reading, math, and other basic skills.

Preschool for low-income working families in Linden area.

Provides comprehensive speech-language, reading and writing evaluations and therapy to children and adults. Services are provided based on evaluation results and the needs of the clients/families.

Provides various programming to encourage the study of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in youth, through visiting school and youth group programs, and summer day camps. Programs include, but are not limited to, educational simulations of space flight, space-themed art workshops, robotics, aviation design, and portable StarLab planetarium presentations.
