Special attention is paid to the Amish community, who account for a larger proportion of the rare genetic and metabolic diseases.

Offers Employment first Coordination for adults with developmental disabilities. Some services provided are: referrals to OOD, liaison for transitioning students, job development, placement and supported employment.

Service includes developing a individual plan that uses a variety of behavioral techniques to increase appropriate behaviors and to decrease or eliminate interfering behaviors. Services may include: *Identify the person’s strengths and resources. *Determine the needs of the person and work to find resources to support those needs *Create a plan that helps individual reach their goals *Connect individual and family with resources and help coordinate between multiple agencies when needed *Check in regularly to discuss updates, changes, and successes *Family supports are also available.

Early intervention program for families of infants and toddlers birth to 36 months of age with developmental delays or a medical diagnosis likely to result in developmental delay or disability. Provide service coordination, developmental screening, evaluation and assessment and EI services delivered through a Primary Service Provide model of coaching and learning.

Provides and array of services for individuals with developmental disabilities from birth to death.

Provide a comprehensive, structured evaluation of a child's cognitive/intellectual functioning, language and communication skills, independent living skills, social and emotional development and perceptual/motor functioning in order to identify individuals who show developmental delays, determine the nature and extent of the problem and recommend a course of treatment and care.

Provides assessment and programs for children with suspected delays; Programs include preschool for special needs and typically-developing children.

Autism Resource Coordinators help families connect with the resources available within Nationwide Children's Hospital and the community. They ensure that families receive the most comprehensive care by: - Navigating families through the Nationwide Children's system (scheduling, follow-up visits, referrals, etc.) - Keeping families and health care providers informed of new developments in funding and advocacy - Providing community education and outreach.

Provides outpatient specialty services quality medical and nursing services, treatment and management of patients.

Provides intensive intervention through small group and individual instruction to prepare children with Autism for Kindergarten.

BCMH is a tax supported, state administered, program of the Ohio Department of Health.
