Cedar Hill Cemetery | City Of Newark Division Of Public Service

Indigent residents of the City of Newark only. If individual is proven to be indigent and family can be located, they are required to meet with a funeral director for preparation of the deceased before calling Cedar Hill for cremation. If no family can be located, the coroner will contact Cedar Hill to proceed. Cremation services only are provided, along with a basic service, no calling hours, and ashes are buried at Cedar Hill. If family prefers to take ashes home, Cedar Hill will pay only for the cremation. Special circumstances apply to veterans, but must be arranged through VA first.
