Provides temporary placement for children and youth placed in the custody of Summit County Children Services. Foster parents and other substitute caregivers work to meet the child and family's case plan goals for reunification. Services include foster home recruitment and training, ongoing education, training, and other collaborative services to promote child safety and reduce the length of time children remain in out of home care. Kinship placement is secured whenever possible to maintain family connectedness and minimize trauma.
