Provides volunteer training and opportunities for youth. Opportunities are available in most departments of the museum, such as animal care, education and the Planetarium.

Provides in-service visits and presentations for school personnel and students on the topic of Tourette's Syndrome. May speak to other groups if staffing permits. Areas covered include diagnostic criteria, specific classroom strategies and techniques for managing associated disorders such as Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Continuing education credits (CEUs) may be available.

Provide presentations to educate the community about mental illness and help to eliminate the stigma surrounding it. Individuals with mental illness share their experiences of living with and recovering from mental illness to college and university students, nurses, doctors, social workers, and any other professional group in the community interested in this type of educational insight.

This program provides self-management educational tools for individuals with Type II Diabetes or those at risk of developing diabetes, blood test. Loved ones and support persons are also encouraged to attend classes.

Also speakers are available during the United Way campaign to assist local unions with their solicitations. In addition, offers workshops to train volunteer employees to be "UCAN (Union Community Activist Network) activists" for their respective places of employment. The training is related to issues of concern that may arise in the work place. The workshops can also be designed for a specific local union membership to attend at their own union hall.

Provides speakers who can discuss a variety of behavioral health topics including different types of mental illnesses, alcohol, drug and other addictions, mental health and the elderly, living with mental illness or addiction, Medicaid, the role of the board. for community agencies and groups who wish to learn about Board-funded mental health, alcohol and other addiction services and treatment available in the County.
