Also provides post-exposure prophylas (PEP) for individuals who have possibly been exposed to HIV. It is only for emergency situations. PEP must be started within 72 hours after a possible exposure to HIV

Our medical providers offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) services to patients to reduce the likelihood of contracting HIV. Our providers are also trained in providing Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) an emergency-based treatment for the prevention of HIV after possible exposure has occurred. Provides information about the etiology, symptoms, screening/diagnostic procedures, and methods of management for Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease and other prion diseases. Maintains information about community resources that are appropriate for people with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease and links individuals who are in need of specialized services with appropriate resources.

Offers diabetes education classes every month.

Provides breast care services including accurate prevention, early detection, diagnosis, educational programs and support services. Offer Joanie's Promise program which covers the payment of all diagnostic services for women who qualify for financial assistance.

Provides an opportunity for caregivers and persons in early stages of memory loss to share their feelings and concerns with others who are facing similar challenges. Meetings are held at various times throughout the 24 counties.

Provides advocacy, education and research tor families. Works to extend and enhance life for those with cystic fibrosis. Links patients and families with specialized CF care as well a support, information and resources.

Memory Care communities, which include Alzheimer’s care and Dementia care facilities, consist of specially designed living spaces and supporting environments for those who are living with cognitive challenges brought on by Alzheimer’s care and dementia. These may include carefully considered flooring to reduce problematic patterns for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia and wall colors that help them to find the way. The dementia care environment helps cue its residents in their daily lives. Areas of the community are set up for safe engagement in activities such as gardening, kitchen work, and other life skills that provide purposeful and meaningful successful moments.

Provides quality skilled, intermediate, rehabilitative and Alzheimer's/dementia care in a comfortable, attractive environment that residents call home.

Includes a three-part series including diabetes education, demonstrations and tasting of healthy foods. Follow up meetings held to discuss progress since the initial class. This is provided by the OSU Extension office.

Provides a group to assist those with a diagnosis of diabetes in dealing with the condition.

Offers free literature and books about diabetes are available to patients and their families. Will also advise individuals on employment issues, health insurance coverage, legal rights, and other similar issues. Will provide referrals to various community resources.

Provides skilled home nursing, home health aides (to assist with grooming, ambulation, personal care, and bathing), in-home physical, occupational, or speech therapy, and in-home respite care for eligible adults in need of these services. Also provides homemaker assistance (meal preparation, laundry and general household management including light housekeeping.) Services also include personal care and homemaking for adults with HIV/AIDS.

Provides grants for occupational tools and mobility devices such as grabbers and dressing equipment for those who have a medically diagnosed form of short stature.

Operates a toll-free cancer information hotline and online live chat to answer questions about cancer. Cancer information specialists have access to comprehensive, accurate information on a range of cancer topics, including the most recent advances in cancer treatment. Specialists cannot answer personal medical questions, make referrals to specific doctors or institutions, or give medical advice. The service is confidential, and information specialists spend as much time as needed for thorough and personalized responses.

Provides all individuals with Down syndrome have the opportunity to enhance their quality of life, realize their life aspirations and become valued members of welcoming communities. Through our toll-free helpline (800-221-4602) and email service ([email protected]).

Provides in-person and online discussion groups for families of individuals with Alzheimer’s/dementia. Provides opportunity to share caregiving challenges and receive emotional support. Monthly meetings at various community locations throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.
