Provides a program designed to help area employers find and train employees and to help unemployed workers find positions and take training seminars to help them with new positions. Seminars cover a variety of topics that meet the needs of local businesses. Also provides job search workshops that include Interviewing Skills, Job Search Techniques, Labor Market Information, Resume Development, and Career Exploration.

Offers training that prepares individuals to take the Ohio state exam to be listed on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry. The training is 6 or 8 weeks and covers all required curriculum to become a STNA plus additional professional development skills.

Provides aid to families in the form of a voucher to buy items or pay for services that are emergencies and non-recurring and which cannot be addressed using existing community resources. Assistance is provided only for items that are essential for the applicant's employment, job training, or education such as: car repairs, car payments, or car insurance payments; car down payment; work clothing and uniforms; and tools and safety equipment. Also will help pay for professional testing/certification and licensing fees, identification materials (i.e. driver's license, state identification, birth certificates), driver's education, and other items as deemed appropriate by the agency. Transportation to work provided through the most cost effective means. A budget will need to be completed and watching a one hour financial literacy video may be required.

Provides 7-week workshops to train and certify participants in the construction trade. Equipment is supplied. Classes are taught in English and Spanish. The workshops are offered three times a year.

Provides assistance with exploring, securing, and maintaining employment for individuals with severe mental illness(es) and other barriers to employment. Participants may receive information and guidance regarding exploring their career interests, locating job opportunities, preparing a resume, completing job applications, adjusting to new employment, etc.

Offers a program in conjunction with the local building and trades council (union) that features career exploration and hands-on labs along with classroom instruction that integrates basic reading and math with technical knowledge and industry-specific terminology. Service includes visits to apprenticeship training, guest speakers and visits with employers. Class prepares those with no experience in construction to join an apprenticeship program in construction.

Provides individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment the opportunity to reach their highest level of personal potential through education, training, and assistance. Programs include Assessment/Evaluation, Work Adjustment, Job Placement/Training, Job Coaching, Summer Youth Program, Job Retention, and Ongoing Support.

Helps women who are in a life transition prepare for the job market by offering emotional, educational and job search support. Participants receive help with resume preparation, interviewing, information on getting their GED if needed, career search, computer readiness, confidence building and life management. Information about and referrals to appropriate GED, training, college programs and community agencies are also available.

Provides academic and general counseling and other supportive services. Intelligence testing provided when needed. Assists students with applying to and choosing a college and offers some assistance with career planning.

Provides vocational assessment and vocational education as well as a wide range of job related classes for youth. Courses onsite include Marketing, Media Arts, Cosmetology, Auto Technology, Construction, Criminology, Teachers Academy. In addition, numerous other programs such as Health Science, Firefighting/EMT, Pharmacy Tech, etc.are offered through a partnership in the Heights CTE Consortium.

Provides the following services: aptitude and proficiency testing, employment counseling, job referral, and national job bank.

Provides vouchers for work related or education related essential services and/or items such as: tools, equipment, uniforms, testing for licenses, job readiness, job/technical training, GED preparation, books, car insurance, and gas/bus fare. May assist with various other needs related to maintaining or gaining employment at the agency's discretion.

Income based rental housing. Offer 50 apartments designed for elderly and persons with disabilities. All units are accessible by elevators. Utilities are included in the cost of rent.

Provides English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and job skills training to help refugees and immigrants integrate into their new country and become self-sufficient. Clients receive daily English and job readiness classes that teach vocabulary, literacy and conversational English skills as well as computer literacy and job preparation. Clients also receive individualized job search and placement assistance.

Provides general counseling services and career/academic guidance to students.

CCMEP provides employment and training services to eligible, low-income individuals based on a comprehensive assessment of employment and training needs, as well as a basic skills assessment. Participants are provided services to support goals outlined in their individual opportunity plan, which may include support to obtain a high school diploma, job placement, work experience, and other supportive services such as child care and transportation. Individuals participating in CCMEP are required to commit to participating in activities outlined in their individual opportunity plan for a minimum of 20 hours per week. CCMEP case managers are required to engage with participants at least every 30 days, or if a participant is receiving intensive case management, at least every 14 days.

Offers daily workforce development workshops. Includes topics on conflict management, conflict resolution, resume creation, and so forth.

Provides opportunities for high school youth to explore potential careers through hands-on experience with local businesses and public institutions such as fire departments, parks and recreation departments, and law enforcement agencies.
