Godman Guild’s Career Bridges program gives participants paid training and instruction in numerous fields: patient support, transport, and environmental services. Additionally, participants gain on-site job experience and coaching. Come to an Information Session to learn more about opportunities available through Career Bridges.

Provides 7-week workshops to train and certify participants in the construction trade. Equipment is supplied. Classes are taught in English and Spanish. The workshops are offered three times a year.

Areas covered include: bank teller training, truck driver training, training and education for those in the construction trades, small business development, customer service, careers working with aging individuals, health care careers (State Tested Nursing Assistant-STNA- training), Spanish for health care professionals, social work certification, human resources, meeting/event planning, food service/hospitality, classes to prepare for standardized tests such as the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and other college entrance exams, police/fire/emergency training, and computer classes (including certification in advanced information technology).

Offers training classes in horticulture topics. Focuses on topics relating to landscaping, nurseries, and greenhouses. Also provides training for people who want a state license or recertification to apply pesticides.

Those interested in job training will first complete career testing and assessment before being placed in an appropriate training program. Training available in the following areas, but not limited to: Certified Production Technician, General Automotive Maintenance, Firefighter 1 & 2, Emergency Medical Services, State Tested Nurse Aide, HVAC, Machining/CNC, Residential Wiring, Small Engine Repair, Auburn Practical Nursing, Industrial Electricity- Electrical training, Welding, Fire Safety Inspector, Fire/EMS Instructor, Public Safety Academy, Paramedic, Emergency Services Telecommunicator, EKG Technician and different computer courses. Many programs offer industry credentials and certifications. Auburn Career Center provides customized classes for organizations and businesses and hosts workshops and seminars related to business and technology.

Provides job training and a new pathway for adults to earn a high school diploma and industry credentials aligned to one of Ohio’s in-demand jobs.

Participants may access the resource center offering assistance with resume writing and job search.

Provides a personal life coach for members of the plan who work to address needs beyond physical health, such as preparing for, training for, and searching for employment, budgeting and finances, education or training opportunities. Coaches can also link members to services and supports for housing, food assistance, and transportation.

Offers a training program in producing crafts and fine arts to persons who are handicapped, unemployed, underemployed. Crafts are sold in a boutique and participants receive 40% of the selling price. Individuals must be referred through a case worker, case manager, or pastor.

Provides comprehensive training for work in a gourmet food establishment including restaurant work, a butcher shop and bakery. Topics may include classes on how to prepare a variety of foods, wines, restaurant management, restaurant law, ethics, responsibilities when serving alcoholic beverages, history of the hospitality industry and others. Students are trained to provide a Parisian-style menu with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. Eligible students may reside on organization's dormitory/test kitchen campus. Housing may also be available for those who have completed the program. Service includes a monthly stipend during training. Successful completion of the program may result in certifications that are accepted in the food service industry.

Providing comprehensive training to improve and advance careers in manufacturing. Participants will receive industry-specific training, career coaching, and job placement assistance.

Recruits, trains, and equips a "job-ready" pool of qualified substitute teachers for partner child care centers throughout Ohio. Helps early childhood educators find jobs in vetted, professional settings, while earning fair wages and state-recognized credentials.

Provides job training to assist older adults in re-entering the work force. Following an application/interview process, individuals are placed at a non-profit or government agency where they train 20 hours per week and are paid minimum wage.
