Reemployment and training program assisting dislocated workers, unemployed adults, and youth with skill development and job searching.

Provides employment and training services to eligible, individuals with low income based on a comprehensive assessment of employment and training needs, as well as a basic skills assessment. Participants are provided services to support goals outlined in their individual opportunity plan, which may include support to obtain a high school diploma, job placement, work experience, and other supportive services such as rent, child care, and transportation. Apprenticeship areas include bricklaying, carpentry, cement masonry, construction tending and hazardous material abatement, drywall finishing, electrical construction, floor laying, glazing, iron working, millwrighting, operating engineers, painting, sign & display, and teledata.

Provides a center where individuals can access fax machines, telephones, copiers, computers with internet access, and printers to conduct their job searches and create/update resumés. Workplace staff offer basic computer skills training, job search and placement assistance, vocational and literacy evaluations, and labor market information.

Career technical training and education program for people ages 16 -24. Students can earn a high school diploma, a high school equivalency credential, or college credits through Job Corps. Offers career technical training in more than 100 career areas. Students receive housing, meals, basic health care, a living allowance, training, and preparation for a career, all at no cost. For up to 21 months after graduation, a career transition counselor will help students make the transition from Job Corps into the real world.
