Provides an education program on topics that may be useful to those who provide care for youth who are experiencing mental health symptoms. Focus is to build the sense of available resources and to network with others. Topics may include advocating for child’s rights at school and in health care settings; preparation for and respond to crisis situations (self-harm, suicide attempts, etc.);the importance of self care.

Speakers are available to inform your group about PASSPORT, aging issues, caregiving issues, aging advocacy or any other topic related to aging. Schedule an AAA 9 professional to speak to your employees, church groups, service organization or other groups free of charge. AAA 9 can also customize a workshop to educate caregivers on a number of topics including: “Stress and Burnout in Caregiving", “Living With Alzheimer's", and many others.

Provides technical assistance on: interpretation of preschool rules, identification assessment, developmentally appropriate practice integration, and transition activities prior to age three and into school age programs. Provides professional development training and updated resource information to professionals, parents, and caregivers on various early childhood topics and programs. Also assists the State Department of Early Childhood with the coordination of regional initiatives to ensure comprehensive services for children.

A telephone-based coaching and support program for persons with chronic health condition(s) and their family and friends who care for them. Services provided include assessment to help families identify the type of help they need, steps to help them address their concerns, education, and ongoing emotional support. Those who participate receive regular check ins with staff who provide follow up on plans and suggestions for actions to take to manage the situation.

Provides a 12-week education course and support for participants to learn critical information and acquire strategies related to caregiving.

The National Family Caregiver Support Program offers caregiver training.
