Project Dawn (DEATHS AVOIDED WITH NALOXONE) | Allen County Health Department

Provides a naloxone kit to any community member. Naloxone is a prescribed nasal inhalant that reverses an opioid overdose. Kit includes 2 vials of medication, a small tip sheet on how to recognize an overdose, and where to access additional educational videos. Will receive instruction on how to recognize and respond to an overdose (as well as distinguish between different types of overdose) and how to administer intranasal Naloxone to reverse the opioid overdose. All training will be provided onsite or at a community partner location.

Medina County Crisis And Behavioral Health Helpline | Alternative Paths

- Offers 24-hour hotline that takes calls from clients or their loved ones who witness or are experiencing acute or chronic psychiatric distress and/or a crisis brought on by substance abuse. - Serves as a suicide prevention hotline. Assesses the situation over the phone, immediately, and responds to emergency room or hospital if it is decided that client needs immediate emergency services. - Offers emergency consultations for any significant person in client's life. Assesses the problem and accesses appropriate services such as hospitalization, crisis intervention, and counseling. Note: Services not available in the home.

Substance Use And Addiction Services | Knox County Community Health Center

Substance Use Disorder services include one-one-one counseling with a drug addiction counselor; administration of Vivitrol is available from a healthcare provider: Naloxone doses available to prevent overdose deaths. Counseling provides individuals with an opportunity to actively pursue emotional healing and personal growth, in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Although our difficulties are unique, we all face trials of many kinds. Facing these trials, with the support of a counselor, can be an empowering experience. Recovery Support Group SMART Recovery is FREE and is held Tuesday evening. Support group help people learn self-empowering tools and members will provide support for each other in recovery. The goal of SMART Recovery is for you to achieve a healthy, positive and balanced lifestyle so you can conquer new challenges. Groups are held at the Knox County Community Health Center - Mount Vernon, Ohio location (Health Department) in the Conference Room on Tuesday evening at 6 pm. This group meets for about an hour and is open to anyone, no matter where they are at in their journey to recovery. There is no need to pre-register, and there is no fee to attend the support groups.
