Guardcare Weekend No-Cost Health Services & Resource Fair | Ohio Department Of Health

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) announced today that a wide variety of no-cost health services will be offered to residents of Crawford County. The services are made possible through a partnership between ODH, the Ohio National Guard, Crawford County Public Health, the Crawford County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and local community partners. Services include: - Behavioral health services - Bicycle helmets - Blood lab work - Blood lead level screenings - Car Seats (and car-seat safety checks) - Dental exams and treatments - Financial coaching - Immunizations for all ages - Mammograms - Physicals (including sports physicals) - Vision exams and prescriptions In addition, a resource fair on site will help people get access to local healthcare providers and have information on addiction care, the state’s Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), the Ohio Women, Infants, and Children program (WIC), Job & Family Services, Medicaid, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Ohio, and much more.

Cobra - Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act | United States Department Of Health And Human Services (HHS)

Provides information on workers' and employers' rights and responsibilities under the federal law covering the continuation of health insurance for a minimum of 18 months following certain qualifying events (job loss, reduction in hours, etc) that cause an individual to lose eligibility for coverage. This program is only for employees of US-based public employers, not including the federal government and certain church-related organizations. Continuation coverage is administered by the employer at group rates that are paid by the participant losing eligibility. Handles appeals for those who feel they have been denied coverage unfairly. The Department of Labor covers private sector programs. In Ohio, employers of fewer than 20 employees are covered under a state continuation program administered by the Department of Insurance.
